“Leanne has worked with Walworth Academy since my arrival three years ago.During this time, Leanne has worked exceptionally hard to create positive working relationships with both staff and pupils. Initially her work was mainly with the PE department; however, she is now sought after by other departments; for example music and drama to complete dance related units on their courses.
She has worked with all ages within the academy during both extra-curricular and curricular lessons. For the past three years, she has run two successful after school clubs. She has developed pupils’ performance to the extent that they have felt confident to perform in front of the school. Last year, we held our first Dance Showcase. Pupils worked hard to choreograph some of the routines and it was a huge success. She is in the process of recruiting dancers for this new term.
Curriculum time, KS4 students, sometimes reluctantly attended dance sessions. However, after working with Leanne for a couple of weeks, have completely changed their attitude and are now eager for the sessions to begin again this term. Our year 10 and 11 students have just completed the first Dance Leaders course after working all hours to complete it and rehearse for their performances.
Leanne’s conduct has been professional, courteous, and enthusiastic to work with the children and plan new sessions with the PE department.
I believe that Leanne’s commitment and dedication will be an asset to your organisation.
